María Vecino, our Community Manager, is a journalist, born in Madrid, and a die-hard ISLOVER.
She tells us that five years ago, when she moved to Palma, she began traveling through the four paradises that the Balearic Islands offer; strolling along their paths accompanied by one of their most treasured landscapes: the traditional dry-stone architecture, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2021; through their streets with their diverse buildings, their villages, their way of life… their orange and almond groves… and thus she immersed herself in the crystal-clear waters of their coves and beaches, beneath which lies a vital ecosystem that fills the sea with life and oxygenates it: Posidonia seagrass.
She is a true ISLOVER, and affirms that our islands are authentic and genuine, surrounded by a unique environment bathed by the Mediterranean.

Víctor Prieto
FOTOGRAPHER

How can someone from Ibiza be born in Valencia? Well, that's exactly what our favorite ISLOVER photographer is like.
Victor Prieto insists that, as he gets older, he feels the need to express and unleash all the art, ingenuity, and creativity he carries within. He's passionate about telling stories, and what better way to do it than through his greatest passion: photography! A dreamer, a tireless traveler, a lover of good music, a superhero in his free time, a loyal friend to his friends, and to his grandmother and mother... the most handsome man in the world. His sense of humor, his magnetism, and his extroverted nature make him a volcano of positive energy that he infuses into each of his projects. Be careful if you're near him because he might infect you. Pure, militant ISLOVERISM.
His challenge? To make photographic technique another source of visual pleasure. So, let's get to his more professional bio: his artistic journey began in adolescence, captivated by the world of film and photography. It was in Madrid in the mid-90s that image studies opened doors to new opportunities for him to learn, grow, and make a name for himself in this world. He began as a technician in television production companies, followed by a period working in photography labs in Madrid and Brighton (UK) at the dawn of the digital age. But his true journey began in 2008 with the project "Castilla-La Mancha – New York in Harmony," which became a traveling photography exhibition, directed by José Talavera and published by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha.
Then, in 2010, under the guidance of the great master of the national and international theater scene, Sergio Parra, Víctor entered the world of studio photography. This technique taught him a new perspective on image and editing, which he would subsequently develop, refine, and apply to all his work. He throws himself wholeheartedly into each and every project and challenge that comes his way: still photography for short films, stage photography, creating behind-the-scenes documentaries and posters for theatrical productions, portfolio creation, newborn photography, food photography, product photography, corporate and event photography, architecture and interior design, landscape photography...
Eager to continue evolving and growing professionally, fate led him to Mallorca, where he currently resides. Today, he feels fortunate to work in this profession and is convinced that one day, he made the best decision: to become an ISLOVER.

We are ISLOVERS because we love our islands. Because we know what it feels like to be there, among its people, on its beaches, and in its sea. Because they are pure Mediterranean. Because they are the simplicity of nature. Because they are the Balearic Islands.
Are you ready to love them with us? Are you an ISLOVER?
